ImageQuiz is designed to collect observer data after presenting an image or images for analysis. IQ supports the following question formats: yes/no, true/false, multiple choice, numbers, strings, choice of two images and point (x, y coordinates) localization.
IQ can be used for quality control assessment, Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) diagnostic accuracy studies, interpretive skills testing. There is almost no limit to the uses for IQ. Any study that needs to display images to an observer and obtain a response can be addressed with IQ.
ImageQuiz runs script files which can be edited using Notepad or any text editor. A IQ Wizard is also provided to assist in developing IQ scripts. All observer data can be printed or save as an ASCII text file which can be easily imported into a statistics or spreadsheet application.
ImageQuiz is in beta release 1.0, we would appreciate any bug reports and suggestions to improve IQ as a tool for imaging research. Bugs will be fixed and improvement made as time permits.
ImageQuiz was written using Borland's C++ version 4.5 and the source code for the executible is available free of charge. IQ is the result of basic imaging research in the Department of Dental Diagnostic Science at The University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas. The program was developed by C. Donald Wilcox, S. Brent Dove and W. Doss McDavid.
