Instruction for installing software for Data Translations DT3152 & DT3155 and ImageTool.
Windows NT 3.51
1. Download and unzip UTHSCSA ImageTool v. 1.27 and DT Open Layer Components from web site.
2. Install DT board and device driver software according to manufacturer in the "MACH Series Device Driver for Microsoft Windows" manual.
3. Install the DT Open Layer components by running the setup.exe.
4. Install ImageTool by running the setup.exe.
5. Reboot the computer and run ImageTool. This completes the installation process.
Windows NT 4.0
The Data Translation manual does not reflect the changes in the installation in version 4.0. The following is a description of the installation of both the device drivers, DT Open Layer components and ImageTool.
Installation of Device Drivers
1. Install DT3152 or DT3155 board in an available PCI slot. Follow the manufacturers instructions for this procedure.
2. Reboot the computer and insert the device driver diskette supplied with the boards into the floppy drive.
3. From the Start menu select the "Settings||Control Panel".
4. Double click on the "Multimedia" icon.
5. The "Multimedia Properties" dialog will be displayed.
6. Select the "Devices" tab.
7. Click the "Add" button.
8. The "Add" dilog will be displayed.
9. Select the "Unlisted or Update Driver" from the "List of Drivers".
10. The "Install Driver" dialog will be displayed.
11. Type "A:" and click the OK button.
12. Reboot the computer. This completes the installation of the device drivers.
Installation of DT Open Layers Components
1. Download and unzip the DT Open Layer Components from web site.
2. Run the setup.exe
3. The completes the installation of the Open Layer components.
Installation of UTHSCSA ImageTool v. 1.27
1. Download and unzip UTHSCSA ImageTool v. 1.27 from web site.
2. Run the setup.exe and follow the instruction for installation.
3. Reboot the computer. This completes the installation process.
Note: It has been noted that on occassions the install program will stall at the 41 - 43% complete level. This is due to a bug in the InstallShield program. Simple terminate the task using the Task Manager and run the installation program a second time. The program will run to completion.
