Computer software for longitudinal radiographic analysis. The C.A.R.E. system is a video-based densitometric image analysis system which allows the analysis of density changes on standard intraoral radiographic films. Any disease processes that causes a change in hard tissues that will result in a radiographic density alteration has the potential to be analyzed by the C.A.R.E. system.The software provides for the following functions.

• CADIA quantitative analysis
• Densitometric analysis (line profile, point and area histogram)
• Dimensional analysis (distance, area, angle)

• Pseudocolorization of x-ray images
• Real-time image subtraction for image registration
