Gary F. Guest, D.D.S., is a Professor in the Department of Dental Diagnostic Science, and serves as the Associate Coordinator of Dental Clinics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. He is past chair of the Dental School's Information Systems Committee, which has developed strategic planning initiatives for application of computer-based technology in the Dental School and is responsible for the plan's implementation into the curriculum. Dr. Guest is currently serving as the Counselor for the American Association of Dental Schools Section of Dental Informatics and was one of the coauthors of "The Computer-based Oral Health Record, A New Foundation for Oral Health Information Systems". He is also a member of the American Dental Association's Standards Committee on Dental Informatics where he chairs the subcommittee for "Dissemination of Dental Information". Dr. Guest is a course director for several predoctoral courses in the areas of Informatics and Patient Management.
