Alan L. Lin, Ph.D. received his B.S. in Biology in 1968 from Fu-jen Catholic University, Taipei, Taiwan, received his M.A. in Biology in 1972 from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and received his Ph.D. in Marine Biology in 1976 from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. In 1996, Dr. Lin joined the Dental School faculty as an Assistant Professor. His past employment includes being a General Manager and Partner of LL&T Enterprises in Corpus Christi, Texas from 1992-1996; an Associate Scientist, Department of Physiology and Medicine, Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research in San Antonio, Tex. from 1988-1991; an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology, University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio from 1988-1991; Assistant Scientist, Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology, Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research, San Antonio, from 1982-1988; a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Pathology, University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio from 1980-1982; and a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Biochemistry at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Lin was also a Visiting Professor, Department of Chemical Oceanography, Universidad de Oriente, Cumana Venezuela from 1976 to1978 and a Teaching Assistant at the College of William & Mary from 1970 to 1975.
